The Dojo Kun

The Dojo Kun are the rules/code of the Dojo. They outline the moral code of the martial artist and the dedication necessary.  The calligraphy was done by Japanese Shodo ("Way of the Brush")  Master Ayako Kamura.  Kamura has over 30 years experience in calligraphy, and is the official calligrapher for many martial arts associations as well as the Budokan. Listed below is an english translation of the Dojo Kun found on the front Kamidana Shrine of the Dojo. Students are required to know them by memory.

Dojo Code

One matter: Refrain from impetuous and violent behavior.
